Ivor is a Corporate Partner with more than 20 years of experience focusing on Irish and international M&A and private equity transactions.  He also advises on general corporate matters including fundraisings, venture capital/debt, joint ventures and shareholder structuring.  Ivor has been Head of the William Fry London office since 2017 where he leads the firm’s UK strategy, while continuing to advise longstanding and new clients and international law firms and their clients on Irish corporate law matters.

Recent deals include advising:

  • Grant Thornton Advisors LLC (US) and New Mountain Capital on the agreement to combine Grant Thornton Advisors with Grant Thornton Ireland’s advisory and tax business
  • EQT Private Equity on its acquisition of a majority stake in the AMCS Group, a supplier of cloud-based and AI-enabled planning, performance, and sustainability focused software for waste management, recycling and other resource-intensive industries
  • UKG Inc. on its acquisition of the Global Payroll Provider, Immedis Group
  • The Halifax Group on its acquisition of Worldwide Home Care Division from Sodexo Group
  • CBPE Capital LLP on its acquisition of a majority stake in advertising technology company Snigel Web Services Limited
  • Wealth at Work Limited, the financial wellbeing and retirement specialists, on its purchase of New Beginnings Financial Services Limited
  • IBM Corporation on the sale of its healthcare data and analytics business, Watson Health, to Francisco Partners Management LP
  • Gresham House Asset Management Limited on the formation of the Irish sustainable forestry fund (structured as 1907 Limited Partnership)
  • Partners Group AG on the purchase of the Version 1 Group
  • Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s largest lessor of regional aircraft, on all Irish corporate aspects of its restructuring through Chapter 11 in the US
  • Aceto Corporation on its acquisition of Irish biopharmaceutical company A&C Bio Buffer Limited
  • IBM on the separation and reorganisation of Kyndryl Holdings, Inc, its managed infrastructure services business, in advance of the spin off of Kyndryl into a separate publicly traded company
  • August Equity LLP on its significant investment into cybersecurity firm Integrity360
  • Next plc on its acquisition of a 51% stake in Victoria’s Secret (Ireland and UK)
