Bryan Bourke, Managing Partner of William Fry has won ‘European Managing Partner of the Year’ at The Lawyer European Awards 2018 in London last night. The award was given in recognition of Bryan’s strategic vision, his leadership, innovation and creativity and how this has contributed to William Fry’s recent successes.
Accepting the award Bryan said, “I’m extremely grateful to have received this award and see this as recognition of the work of the entire team at William Fry who contribute to the Firm’s success. Since taking over as Managing Partner, I have been focused on our people and creating a more dynamic and positive work environment through investing in staff initiatives -to improve engagement and wellbeing – while focusing on hiring the best in market and growing key areas of our business. The success to date has been great and I believe there is still such huge potential going forward.”
Commenting on the award John Larkin, Chairman of William Fry, stated “We are delighted that Bryan has been recognised with this award. Established in 2008, The Lawyer European Awards recognises and celebrates excellence across the European legal market. The 2018 awards saw 200 submissions from 135 plus firms across Europe, showcasing their best legal work with the hope of winning an award in one of the 24 categories. The ceremony itself brings together more than 300 managing and senior partners, from over 90 firms, to network and celebrate the most successful firms in Europe.
