William Fry, one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms, is opening an office in the City of London and appointing new Partners in Dublin to support its growing business. The firm currently employs over 380 staff in Dublin, New York, Mountain View, California and now London.
Commenting on the opening of the London office, Myra Garrett, Managing Partner said “This is a very exciting move for us. We have been active on the ground in London for over a decade and the volume of business particularly from international companies and firms looking to do business in Ireland is such that it makes sense for us to have a permanent base in the UK.”
William Fry’s London office will be located at Heron Tower, Bishopsgate in the City and headed up by Senior Corporate Partner Stephen Keogh, who specialises in M&A and private equity. Commenting, Stephen said: “I am looking forward to strengthening our existing relationships in the UK and developing new ones. We will continue to work closely with companies doing business in Ireland and with UK advisors who have clients with Irish projects. Many sections of the Irish economy are well-poised to make a strong recovery or indeed are already thriving. Supporting growth of the business here in Ireland, William Fry has recently appointed three new partners, Joanne Conlon (Corporate), Richard Breen (Litigation) and Claire Waterson (Competition & Regulation).
