Speaking at the launch, Conor Niland, a former Junior Lawn TennisChampion, said: “The William Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships isIreland’s main and most prestigious event in youth tennis. Every year,budding professionals emerge from the championships. The event providesmuch needed exposure to exceptionally talented young players from acrossthe country. I wish them all every success in the Championships.”
Over 380 aspiring tennis champions, from across the country, competedin 20 competitions. Over 500 matches were played at the club throughoutthe week.
