Leo is a Partner and Head of our Technology group and co-lead of the firm’s Technology, Data & Comms sector. He specialises in technology, data protection and intellectual property law.

Leo Moore

Leo is a senior member of the firm’s Inward Investment and US market group and the firm’s Strategy Implementation Partner.  He is a member of iTechLaw, INTA, SCL, IAPP and the Law Society of Ireland IP & DP Committee.

Technology: Leo advises domestic and multi-national companies on digital transformation projects, outsourcing, software licensing and development, new technologies (including AI), e-commerce, and strategic legal due diligence. He advises on the EU digital reform legislation package such as on AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSA (Digital Services Act), NIS2.

Data Protection: His extensive experience on data protection and cyber security matters includes advising companies in sectors such as Technology, Sport, Financial Services, and Food & Beverage on data protection (including GDPR) compliance programmes, marketing, international transfers, data breach and cyber incident management, and engagements with Data Protection regulators.

Intellectual Property: Leo provides strategic advice and assistance on complex IP matters and contracts, IP and tax structuring, IP protection and exploitation/licensing strategies, and brand management.  He counsels on and manages large IP portfolios for leading global and Irish enterprises; he is a registered Irish and European Trade Mark and Design Attorney. Leo has advised several “big tech” and social media companies on copyright, AI and other IP matters; and leading sports and food + beverage brands on product launches, advertising clearance (TV Ads) and parallel imports.

Contracts: Companies engage Leo on outsourcing arrangements, SaaS and other product contract engagements, major sporting sponsorships, naming rights agreements and traditional commercial contracts (distribution, agency, warehousing).
